About Nordwand Law
Nordwand Law is based in Bern and works in a modern, dynamic and client-oriented manner. My clients are mainly private individuals and SMEs. Nordwand Law focuses on litigation in the areas of sports, criminal and civil law.
Your tasks
Your main areas of practice include sports law, criminal law, family law and contract law. You will defend athletes in doping and ethics proceedings before the SSI and the CAS, primarily in German and English. You also defend accused persons in all stages of criminal proceedings in a committed and competent manner. You also conduct civil proceedings in court. The focus here is on family and contract law proceedings. An expansion to include inheritance and corporate law is planned for the near future.
Participation in the criminal law on-call service of the Bernese Bar Association is a prerequisite. You may also be required to travel outside office hours. It would therefore be an advantage if you have a driver’s license and a private vehicle.
Your profile
You are admitted to the Swiss Bar and have an excellent command of German, a good command of English and ideally other languages. You work in a structured, conscientious, independent and client-oriented manner. Experience in the above-mentioned areas of law is an advantage. You attach great importance to flexibility in terms of time and location and personal contact with your clients. You think entrepreneurially and want to contribute profitably and innovatively to the firm and are also prepared to work on-call outside office hours and acquire your own clients.
My offer
I work with modern AI research tools from Jurata and Abacus and with
insert management software from Octobit (Octojur). Most of the input is done electronically. Furthermore, I offer flexible working time models between a 40-100% workload. The work can be done either on site in Bern or from a home office. Client meetings take place virtually via Microsoft Teams or in person at the office. I offer you a competitive salary that is in line with that of large law firms in Bern. I will pay you a percentage of the turnover for mandates I acquire myself.
